Q1     Will there be any visible scarring after surgery?
Unlike conventional canthoplasty, which often leaves bumpy scars inside the conjunctiva or on the outer eye corner, Lovely Canthoplasty uses an incision just below the lashes, making the scar less visible. The incision runs parallel to natural skin lines and wrinkles, becoming less noticeable over time.

Don’t worry!

After stitch removal, the area may briefly look like a scar, but it gradually heals and becomes less visible over time.
Q2     Will my smile look unnatural after surgery?
The surgery does not alter the orbicularis oculi muscle itself, but since the eye corner is fixed to the inner periosteum, you may notice slight unnaturalness when smiling in the early stages. As swelling subsides, this gradually improves.

Don’t worry!

Other clinics often fix the center of the lower eyelid, which interferes with muscle movement, but Lovely Canthoplasty aligns with the direction of muscle fibers and fixes it to the periosteum near the eye corner, causing far less discomfort when smiling. Any awkwardness is temporary and improves with healing.
Q3     I feel a pulling sensation at the corner of my eyes after surgery!
The pulling sensation is completely normal, as the extended eye corner is fixed to the periosteum. It usually subsides within 1–2 weeks, though it may last longer depending on the intensity of the procedure.

Don’t worry!

The pulling sensation fades naturally over time, so there’s no need for concern.
Postoperative complications such as bleeding, infection, and inflammation may vary depending on the individual. Caution is advised.
